TYPES OF MOUNTS: When ordering shades, it is important to determine whether you need an inside mount or an outside mount. Inside mounted shades will be 0.4 inches smaller than the window frame to ensure a proper fit. The frame must have a depth of at least 2.4 inches for secure installation. If your frame is less than 2.4 inches deep, an outside mount is recommended. Outside mounted shades should be ordered to fit the exact width of the area you wish to cover. This type of mount is used when there is not enough depth for an inside mount. All necessary mounting hardware is provided for both inside and outside mounts.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENTS: To measure for an inside mount, start by measuring the width at three different locations: the top, middle, and bottom of the frame. Use the smallest measurement and subtract 0.4 inches to get your custom width. Next, measure the height at three locations: the left, middle, and right sides. Again, use the smallest measurement as your custom height when ordering.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENTS: For an outside mount, measure the width of the outside frame and add 6-10 inches to get the width for the outside mount. Do the same for the height, adding 6-10 inches to ensure proper coverage and prevent any light gaps.
