How to Measure for Inside or Outside Mount

Before placing an order, please decide whether you want an inside or outside mount for your Roman shades. - Inside mount provides a finished look without hiding wood trim, requiring a 2-inch window depth. - Outside mount offers better coverage and can be mounted on the wall or mold surrounding the window.

For Inside Mount 1. Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom inside of the window and choose the narrowest measurement as the window width. 2. Choose the exact window width, as we will reduce it by 0.4" when making the shade. 3. Choose the exact window height, as we will make the shade height the same as the window height.

For Outside Mount 1. Measure the outer frame width and height of the window. 2. Choose the exact shade width you need, ensuring it is either the same size or smaller than the window width if hanging on the frame. 3. Choose the exact shade height and add 5-10 inches based on the window height for optimal coverage if hanging on the wall.
